Job Overview
The Connecticut Department of Developmental Services (CTDDS) is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead and manage a federally funded Care/Case Management modernization initiative. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the analysis, planning, research, procurement, design, development, testing, and deployment activities. This is a primarily remote position; however, the candidate must be relatively local to attend in-person meetings as required. Travel costs will not be covered by the client or CAI.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Project Management within Developmental Services or Health and Human Services agencies, particularly in case/care management system modernization projects. Exceptional communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management:
- Lead and report on all phases of the Care/Case Management modernization project.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Assist in rapid confirmation of business needs and project scope, including integration requirements.
- Procurement and Documentation:
- Develop procurement documents, such as statements of work and requests for services.
- Evaluate proposals and manage follow-up funding-related activities, including Advanced Planning Document (APD) preparation.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the DDS ARPA Team to align project objectives with departmental goals.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders.
- Facilitate and participate in meetings, both virtual and in-person, as needed.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure project adherence to relevant state and federal health compliance standards, including HIPAA and HITECH.
- Incorporate health informatics best practices into the project’s design and implementation.
