Junior Network Engineer
Location:
Denver, CO
Setting:
Hybrid (3 days a week)

Schedule: The first two months (9 weeks of training) is Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 4:00.
Contract: 6 Months+
Pay rate: $30/hr

Job Details and Requirements Section
  1. will consist of monitoring for most of our systems here in the INOC; a lot of intake phone calls, expectations of being communicative and communicating with the team about what's going on, being able to address high priority situations, whether it be applications, location, criticality of what we have rated within the INOC of our major incident processes which is a big focus.
  2. This role will work to resolve anything that touches technology at any capacity.
  3. Resources are responsible for working collaboratively with each other in addition to other cross functional teams across the organization to ensure systems are monitored at all times.
  4. Resources are expected to know/understand triage order and what teams/resources to use for support and when.
  5. Basic triaging and incident management.
  6. Using ServiceNow to work from a ticket/queue to resolve issues. Resources may be working on some operational technology as well.
  7. There are approximately 12 technicians within the team ranging from level I to III.
  8. Should have experience within ServiceNow. Really looking for the drive/curiosity to learn as much as possible. Resources should have a true interest in network security
  9. These resources will very much be working collaboratively.
  10. Training period of 9 weeks. After the initial training, it may take someone up to a year to feel fully proficient within the role.
Candidate Detail Section:
  1. 1-3 years of previous experience with an IT background/network operations experience or commensurate education.
  2. must have a willingness to learn; looking for candidates who are personable. 
  3. Should have some experience working within cross functional teams and should possess a strong team mentality.
  4. Should have some basic triaging skills and it would be nice for them to have some ServiceNow experience to some degree.
  5. Previous experience/understanding in an incident response management or ticketing queue environment to ensure that they understand priorities, etc.
  6. ITIL experience is nice to see.
Things that would make a candidate stand out:
Showing experience in working within a high functioning team environment. Experience in ServiceNow, ITIL.
Education: 
  1. minimum of a high school diploma.
  2. ITIL certification/experience.
