Title – Power BI with Qlik
Location: - Onsite – New York, New jersey, Connecticut
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power BI Developer with extensive experience in Qlik. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience in Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, a deep understanding of data visualization, and proficiency in both Power BI and Qlik. This role will involve designing, developing, and implementing advanced BI solutions to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.
- Utilize Qlik to create advanced data visualizations and dashboards.
- Integrate data from various sources into Power BI and Qlik environments.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
- Optimize BI solutions for performance and scalability.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all BI solutions.
- Collaborate with data engineers and other IT professionals to improve data flows and data quality.
- Stay current with BI technologies and best practices, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and data analytics.
- Expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service.
- Proficiency in Qlik Sense and QlikView.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata).
- Experience with ETL processes and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Cognos).
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services.
- Experience in back-end testing and quality assurance.
